Admission Requirements

We are interested in more than academic achievement

Each child’s academic career is different. Therefore, we don’t have one fixed catalogue of absolute admission requirements.  Rather, our admissions office carefully examines the personal academic history of each individual student in order to arrive at an appropriate admissions decision and, if need be, to suggest suitable alternatives.

In our admissions process academic achievement is not the only criterion. When selecting future students, we pay special attention to the candidates’ social competencies. We value students who are willing to take on responsibility in and for the community. An ideal candidate for admission demonstrates openness and a motivation to take advantage of the many opportunities offered by the Landheim.  We also expect our prospective students to set high expectations for themselves and to be willing to test their own boundaries.

For us, education is much more than acquiring cognitive knowledge.  Our priority is encouraging students to become independent, self-confident, responsible and hardworking individuals, not only in the classroom, but also in our technical and artistic workshops, in athletics, music and our other cultural offerings.

Moreover, we encourage our students to acquire critical social qualities like a willingness to help, sincerity, integrity and leadership skills.

We accept students of all ages from grades five to eleven. Admission in grade twelve is granted in certain exceptional cases.

We acknowledge that a decision to transfer from one school to another can occur at any time.  Therefore, we have a rolling admissions and transfer policy throughout the school year.

If you have any further enquiries about admissions requirements, feel free to contact our office.
