Admissions Process
We look forward to getting acquainted!
If you are interested in enrolling your child at the Landheim, the next step is getting acquainted. We therefore cordially invite you and your child to visit our campus and to get to know our unique learning atmosphere firsthand.
One of our foremost priorities is meeting your individual needs and expectations. To this end we would be happy to organize a personal meeting for you with our Head of School, Mag. Helmuth Aigner and our Director of Admissions. In this conversation we’ll have the opportunity, together with you and your child, to discuss his or her future school career, possible reasons for transferring, and the unique opportunities we offer in our boarding community.
Directly following the meeting, you will have a student-guided tour of campus in order to view our facilities and find out more about our community from a student’s perspective.
Your child is our first priority. He or she should feel comfortable on our campus and should know from the start what our expectations are. We therefore offer the chance to visit our school as a prospective boarder for three days. Your child will thus have the chance to experience boarding school life first hand, including morning assembly, classes, afternoon workshops and activities, and community dinner.
Following this extended stay, we will provide you with feedback concerning your child’s behavior and academic standing as well as our admissions decision and/or further recommendations.
If you and your child decide together that the Landheim is the right option, we will send you the necessary enrollment documents and will look forward to welcoming your child to our community.
All new students are subject to a probationary period of one academic year during which we evaluate their progress in adjusting to boarding school life. After passing this evaluation process, new students are welcomed as official members of the Landheim community and are presented with a silver school pin.
