Language connects, they say. But language can do much more!

In our school’s rhetoric course Alex Dorow, Landheim alumnus, radio host and television journalist, teaches students rhetorical techniques and the nuances of the German language. 

How can I gain and maintain the attention of my listener through my language and posture? What means does language offer me to win over my audience?

• gestures and facial expressions during public speaking
• pronouncing difficult vowel-consonant combinations
• posture and presentation in front of an audience
• the basic rule of three
• the fivefold dialectic and its use
• drafting and delivering short speeches
• drafting and delivering convincing speeches
• self-evaluation through video recording
